Hum - Stars

I’ve decided to use Tumblr   (or Blogger now, because I think Google is biased towards it) to post annotations for my novel, Yeah Shut Up.  Since the book is set in the ‘90s music scene, I thought I might discuss some of the music referenced in the book, such as this song from the 1995 album “You’d Prefer an Astronaut.”  I try not to speak directly through my characters, but David’s assessment of the song in Chapter Six pretty much sums up my thoughts.  I’m glad I’ve never heard this song in a Chevy commercial, but it does sadden me a bit to know that it’s kind of a lost classic from this era.
